A happy day at the Sonoma Garden Park's Saturday Harvest Market

During the Labor Day weekend, hundreds of Sonoma Valley residents stopped by the Sonoma Garden Park, 19996 7th St E., for an easy day of shopping and socializing at the Saturday Harvest Market. The market, which began in March, continues through December from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday. It offers fresh local produce, flowers, eggs, honey and olive oil. The Sonoma Garden Park is a 6.1-acre public sustainable garden, which features garden plots for rent, a native plant nursery, chickens, bees and low-water pollinator gardens. It is open daily and is operated and maintained via the Sonoma Ecology Center. Besides the Saturday Harvest Market, the park also has the Children's Discovery Trail, a children's play area and a pathway system that is Americans with Disabilities Act-friendly.
