9 September, 2026 SATURDAY saw Cobden's Lactalis-Mainland-Dairy Australia factory opening its doors in celebration of 100 years of Western Star butter, with festivities continuing throughout the afternoon at the adjoining JH Vagg Memorial Park. Joining in the festivities: Corangamite Shire councillor Jo Beard (from left), previous site manager Kevin Brown, Lactalis-Mainland Dairy Australia managing director David Breckenridge and Samir and Vanessa Suri basked in the 100 years of Western Star celebration on Saturday.
