LAHORE – More than two million students in Punjab have completed registration for the upcoming board examinations for Grade 5 and Grade 8 during the current academic year.
The Punjab Education Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority (PECTAA) will conduct examinations in all subjects for both grades.
Grade 8 students will appear in examinations covering 10 subjects, while Grade 5 students will be tested in six subjects.
Paper Pattern
PECTAA will provide the question papers, with 40 marks allocated to objective questions and 60 marks for written questions.
Around 1.1 million Grade 5 students and one million Grade 8 students are expected to take the examinations. Examination centres will be established at schools located close to the students.
PECTAA has set September 30 as the deadline for student registration.
Class 5 and 8 Board Exams Date
The Grade 5 and Grade 8 board examinations are scheduled to begin in the first week of February 2027, while the results are expected to be announced during the first week of March 2027.
The examination arrangement will cover students across Punjab, with centres planned at nearby schools to facilitate their participation in the assessments.
