DC reviews sanitation arrangements

LAHORE, Sep 05 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Lahore Muhammad Ali Ejaz on Saturday visited Nishter Tehsil and inspected sanitation arrangements along Butt Road, Kahna, directing the relevant authorities to ensure the immediate removal of garbage from residential and commercial areas. During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner directed the officials concerned to ensure mechanical sweeping of major roads and deployment of additional sanitation staff wherever required. He ordered the immediate removal of solid waste from vacant plots and stressed that municipal services must be provided efficiently without any negligence. 'Provision of a clean environment is the right of citizens and our top priority,' he said. He also urged citizens to extend full cooperation to the administration for the successful implementation of the ongoing cleanliness campaign. Chief Executive Officer Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC), Additional Deputy Commissioner (Enforcement), Chief Officer Metropolitan Corporation Lahore, and Assistant Commissioner Nishter were also present.
