HASC, in partnership with ReddiNet, is proud to launch SAFE-TXTSM. A regional emergency security notification network, SAFE-TXT is designed to enhance communication, situational awareness and security collaboration among healthcare organizations throughout Southern California. Built on the principle of 'Regional Awareness. Stronger Security,' SAFE-TXT provides a fast and reliable way for healthcare safety and security leaders to receive critical information regarding security incidents, emerging threats and events that may impact healthcare operations across the region. What is SAFE-TXT? SAFE-TXT is a free HASC-managed, one-way emergency text alert system developed in partnership with ReddiNet to connect healthcare security professionals and facilitate the rapid distribution of security-related information. Participants receive timely alerts and situational awareness information directly on their mobile devices, informing them about incidents that could affect their facilities, staff, patients or surrounding communities. By enabling healthcare organizations to quickly share information, the system helps security teams enhance preparedness, coordinate awareness and make informed decisions during evolving situations. Why Participation Matters Security threats and disruptive incidents rarely affect only one organization. Whether the concern is suspicious activity, workplace violence, community disturbances or other emerging threats, early awareness can provide valuable time for hospitals and healthcare facilities to assess risk and implement appropriate safety measures. SAFE-TXT creates a network of informed healthcare security leaders who receive timely notifications and security intelligence that can strengthen preparedness and response efforts throughout the region. By participating, hospitals become part of a broader healthcare safety community committed to protecting patients, visitors, staff and facilities. Join SAFE-TXT HASC encourages healthcare security and safety professionals to join this important regional collaboration. Enroll in SAFE-TXT at hasc.org/safe-txt. New Subscriber Information After signing up, members will receive a welcome message from SAFE-TXT within two to three business days. The welcome message will include login instructions and information on how to access the system. If you don't receive the welcome message, please check your spam or junk folder. If you still can't find the email, please contact Teri Hollingsworth, [email protected], for assistance. Through facilitating collaboration, timely communication and regional awareness, SAFE-TXT will help strengthen healthcare security across Southern California.
