High-Speed 3D Platformer Lightspeed Lina Announced For PC, $45,000 Kickstarter Campaign Now Live

Independent developer CornflowerBlue has announced its fast-paced 3D action-adventure platformer, Lightspeed Lina, for PC via Steam. A Kickstarter campaign seeking $45,000 in funding has launched alongside the announcement. It will close on October 7, 2026. Lina 'Lightspeed' Lockett is a former thief who has turned to treasure hunting. She arrives at the Ephemera Isles after heart-shaped gems known locally as Comets begin falling from the sky following the destruction of a spaceship. She initially plans to collect and sell the gems, but the appearance of a pink alien and her former master complicates those plans. Lina uses a special pair of boots to move through a collection of nonlinear islands built around high-speed traversal. Movement includes loops, ramps, large drops, and aerial sections, while combat and exploration are incorporated into the same movement system. Progression revolves partly around Spur Arts, pieces of alien technology that grant Lina additional abilities. These powers allow access to additional parts of the Ephemera Isles. Other treasures can similarly provide new moves and exploration options. The islands vary in size and contain towns, NPCs, treasure, and boss encounters. Players can move between high-speed platforming sections and slower visits to populated areas while searching for items and abilities. Lina can also wear a range of cosmetic outfits, including dresses, business clothing, mascot costumes, and other styles.
