Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & The Guide Of Memories Sets February Release Date

Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories launches February 25, 2027, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. Koei Tecmo and developer Gust confirmed the date alongside a new trailer showing off combat, exploration, and the series' reworked synthesis system, following the game's original reveal during Set two years after the events of Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land, Atelier Karia follows Karia, a member of the Aladiss Pioneering Team who loses her memory and discovers a vast, previously unknown world beneath the continent while investigating a set of ruins. There, she finds a cauldron and encounters alchemy for the first time, setting the story in motion as a phenomenon called the Mana Withering threatens the land above. Karia is joined by returning protagonist Yumia Liessfeldt in a mentor role, alongside new companions Servio Lektor and Fina Rozen, with additional characters Noelk Schreiber and Celes appearing throughout the journey. Koei Tecmo has said the game works as a standalone story and doesn't require prior knowledge of Atelier Yumia to follow. Karia's defining trait is her ability to eat and analyze almost anything, unlocking new field actions and combat abilities depending on what she consumes. Style Changes let her channel different elemental powers, such as Ignis for fire-based attacks or Mermaid for ice magic, each altering both her appearance and combat capabilities while introducing new weaknesses to balance the added strength. Combat builds on Atelier Yumia's hybrid system, blending real-time action with the ability to pause time and select commands, alongside new parrying mechanics. Everyone who pre-orders the standard edition receives the Noctrem Pioneering Preparation Set as an early purchase bonus, which includes a special costume for Karia and exclusive Training Badge equipment, available to anyone who purchases before March 10, 2027. A separate Premium Box edition is available exclusively through the NIS America store, bundling the base game with an artbook, a CD featuring extra music tracks, nine A4-size posters, and costume DLC. In Japan, the standard Premium Box costs 13,530 yen, with a Special Premium Box available for 23,650 yen. The Nintendo Switch 2 physical release will ship as a Game-Key Card rather than a full cartridge.
