Well, it's been a long time.
The Knicks won, I was in California, we sold out Bowery Ballroom, the DSA swept the primaries, The World Cup was filled and spilled, we went to a writing residency in Nantucket, and we've been writing and recording a new album. (New lyrics below.)
So much has happened it would take me as long as it took to happen to tell you it had. I'm only 30% sure that makes sense.
But one thing is undeniable:
We are hitting the road tomorrow! Our Out of Office Tour begins!!!

This Substack is our primary newsletter. I hate when people are like 'I wish i Knew!!!' Like Obviously I wish you knew too, queen!
I'll keep this short so as not to oversalt the soup.
I love being on the road, and I've always wanted to take this show on the road, so getting the opportunity to come share this work with like-minded people who not only love the music but the themes of what we're talking about means the world to me.
The theme of theOut of Office TourisWork.
The American culture of Work, the morality associated with Work, and the impending listlessness of a world where Work is no longer our predominant mode of existence.
Not to hit you with a triple entendre, but I would say, in many ways, 'our work is cut out for us.'
The album we're writing right now is calledThe Immaculate Concept.
Here are some lyrics
Blood pactMy childhood friends and I1 AM behind a diner on a school nightWe planned our escapeWe gotta make something great
Stick and pokeThe heart of Joan of ArcMade a joke:'That's the last bad work of artI will let myself make'I gotta make something great of myselfGreater than myselfGreater than the suburbsGreater than The Marriage of Heaven and Hell
We answer to a higher powerWe pray to the gods of the RenaissanceWe live in the space between spacesWe are Knights of the soul,With a spiritual atom bomb
We answer to a higher powerThe verse and the curse in the contextWe wait for the next great epiphanyTo fall from the skyImmaculate conceptImmaculate concept
And somewhereA cursor types a codeA soloist attempts to optimize the cosmosThe market won't waitWe gotta make something great of ourselvesGreater than ourselvesGreater than the questionGreater than the marriage of heaven and hell
