野球のＵ１８（１８歳以下）アジア選手権が７日、台北などで開幕し、１次リーグＡ組で高校日本代表は初戦の香港戦で沖縄尚学左腕の末吉良丞（りょうすけ）（３年）が先発し、２回１安打無失点と好投した。試合は日本が１８－０の四回コールドゲームで勝利した。
