Trebles all round in triumph for front-runners Llay

Harry Roberts, Sam Bryan and Rees Fearnley all hit hat-tricks in a 9-1 win at Ruabon Rovers for whom Jay Edwards replied. There was an 11-goal thriller at Connah's Quay Town where Connor Morris-Jones (3), Toby Lemon (2), Luke Tyndall and an own goal earned them the points. Harley Davies (2), Roman Durnell and Ollie Jones hit back for Rhos Aelwyd. Mold Alex's Noah Hartley was another to hit three on the opening day. Drew Hayes and Jack Parry also scored at Broughton United, who replied via Fletcher Whitley, Max Hunt and Jack Foster. It was just as exciting at Rhydymwyn where AFC Flint ended up 5-3 victors. Joe Williams and Rob Ballantyne both scored twice with Rhys Carrington also on target. Blake Bigby, Jeremy Forsyth and Ethan Carter hit back for the hosts. CJ Richardson (2), Coel Hooson and Harvey O'Sullivan steered Brickfield Rangers to a 4-1 win at Rhostyllen for whom Cameron McKay replied. In the FAW North Development League, it was honours even as Connah's Quay Nomads and Flint Town United drew 1-1 in their opener. Harvey Hendrey put Nomads ahead but Alex Lear earned Flint a point. Caernarfon Town thrashed Newtown 6-0 while Colwyn Bay were 3-2 winners at Llandudno.
