Bollywood actress Kajol has said artificial intelligence can do very good work, but it cannot replace the unique element found in human creativity. Speaking about AI and human creativity, the 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' actress said machines base their ideas on information that already exists, while humans can create new emotions, feelings and original ideas. Kajol said AI could write a five-line poem, a haiku or an Urdu poem very well when instructed to do so, but she would not call the result outstanding. She said that if the same task were done by a very good writer or author, the work would contain something that a machine could not produce. The actress added that machine-generated ideas were based on material that had already been created, much like the contents of a library. Humans, however, can look at things in a unique way and offer a different point of view. Kajol said humans can also create emotions and feelings that may never have existed before.
