There is quite a lot of gear to find in The Blood of Dawnwalker. From rings to amulets to entire armor sets for both your human and vampire sides, you can spend quite a bit of time building out Coen's arsenal. One of the best weapons is the Sword of St. Mihai, which is a reward at the end of a lengthy quest. However, to even craft the Sword of St. Mihai you will need to complete the Forge It Anew quest, which requires you to find three sword shards scattered throughout the world. Here is where to locate those sword shards, the uriashi blacksmith's location, and how to temper the weapon to turn it into a legendary blade. Sword Shard Locations When it comes to finding all the sword shards, you'll need to complete the three separate Forge It Anew quests. These will become available after you defeat St. Mihai and complete the Night Terrors quest. Forge It Anew: Do Not Disturb Walkthrough Your first Forge It Anew quest can be found on the northeastern side of the map just above the Maragir Woods text. This is the easiest of the three and one you can easily snag pretty early on in your journey. Climb up the mountain until you find a kobold nest with a bunch of blood and skeletons outside. Enter the nest and jump down to where the overturned stone cross by the altar is. This will cause a bunch of kobolds to spawn around you and attack. These little guys are pretty easy to deal with individually, as they are weak, have predictable attacks, and are easily parried. Just make sure they don't swarm you in mass, as they can get quite a few hits in if they decide to gang up. Once all the kobolds are dead, approach the altar. You will need to spend three time segments to rummage through the remains and find the first sword shard. Related The Blood Of Dawnwalker: Blasphemy Quest Walkthrough Someone has stolen Gremla's banner before the Blood Mass, and she needs Coen to track down the thief and save her from the deadly consequences. Forge It Anew: Hostile Takeover Walkthrough The second sword shard is located to the east in the mountains. Specifically, north of Rockfall (shown above) on your map, and you shouldn't attempt this until you're at least Level 20. When you arrive, look for a small cave opening along the cliff face. You can easily miss it, so try to go during the day so you can see the dead kobolds outside. Once inside, drop down into the main chamber to trigger a boss fight with a very big, very mutated kobold called Munch-Munch. Despite being a kobold, Munch-Munch can pack quite a punch if you're underleveled. Quick on his feet, this boss relies heavily on close-range claw strikes that can come from the left, right, or above. All of these can be parried, allowing you to stagger and damage Munch-Munch. He is fairly easy to stunlock if you successfully chain sword swings, as I was able to pin him against the wall for several seconds as I wailed on him. What you will want to watch out for is his unblockable attack. This sees Munch-Munch spew bile in front of him, poisoning Coen for several seconds if he comes in contact with it. Whenever you see the red skull, do not dodge backwards. Instead, dodge to either the left or right of the boss to avoid this move. Doing so will give you an opening to slash at him with your sword and get some damage in. When Munch-Munch is killed, approach the kobold nest and interact with it to get the second sword shard. Just like before, this will cost you three time segments to obtain. Forge It Anew: Executive Order Close Before going after this final piece, I strongly recommend you reach at least Level 24 or 25. Enemies are going to be much stronger for this quest, so you'll want to be properly prepared so you don't get instantly killed because of one mistake! When you're ready, head to the southeastern corner of St. Tyna's Grove and look for a cave that's nestled in the mountains to the east (shown above). Search the camp and inside the cave to learn that Xanthe's soldiers have raided the kobold nest. This means you'll need to go to her guard's outpost to get the last sword shard. Their location will be marked on your map, and you shouldn't underestimate Xanthe's guards. They are much stronger than the other two court members' followers, so be prepared for a fight. Once the guards are dead, go into the largest, ornate tent near the back. On the table will be the final sword shard, and grabbing it will cost three time segments. Uriashi Blacksmith Location With all three sword shards in your possession and the hilt from completing the Night Terrors quest, you will be able to forge the weapon. Make your way to the northwest side of the map, above the Briar Sloughs text on the map (shown above). When you arrive at the Uriashi Hermitage Shrine, approach the woman outside of the house. This is the blacksmith, who will ask you why you need her to build this sword. Tell her it's to kill Brencis, and she will immediately agree to help with no questions asked. Now just hand her the pieces you have, and she will forge you the Restored Sword of St. Mihai. While this is a decent epic greatsword, you can actually make this weapon stronger. Complete The Sword Of St. Mihai Your final step will be to find the location the blacksmith mentioned to hone the weapon and complete it. This is going to be easier said than done, as are most things in this world. Make your way directly north from where the blacksmith is and look for a cave that has a bunch of red vines blocking the entrance. Interact with the vines to cut them open, creating a path for you to slip into. Once inside, follow the path until you reach a massive chamber. Inside will be a little under a dozen zombies, all of which you'll need to kill if you want to progress. These don't hit that hard and are fairly easy to put down. When all the zombies are dead, climb up the rocks on the left and head through the cave until you reach another large chamber with a glowing red orb in the center. Equip your best gear and healing items before interacting with the orb, as it will trigger a boss fight against some tough ghostly foes. This fight, similar to the one in the Stronger Than Achilles quest, is all about fighting a horde of foes to whittle down the boss's health bar. The ghosts will be a mix of dogs and undead soldiers, so focus on the hounds first, as they will be the most troublesome to deal with since they dip in and out of combat. You'll need to fight three waves of enemies to complete this fight, so if you're underleveled, this is going to be a real war of attrition. I recommend attempting this around Level 28 once you've improved your current armor and weapons to ensure you can actually survive the battle. After the boss has been defeated, you can approach the glowing red orb and place the sword into it. This will transform the blade into its final form: Imbued Sword of St. Mihai. It's one of the best weapons in the game, as it boosts not only your damage against supernatural enemies, but also greatly increases your critical hit chance and damage. It's a monster that can easily carry you through the rest of the game, so make sure to get it!
