Battle Of Britain Day

Banbury marks the British victory against German pilots during the Battle of Britain, one of the most important campaigns of World War II. 2026 marks 86 years since the Battle of Britain. The event will begin in Market Place, where a military parade will travel through the centre of town towards St Mary's Church, setting off at 10.45am The parade will feature dozens of participants from a variety of regiments and organisations. St Mary's Church will host a memorial service in honour of those who fought in the Battle of Britain. This service will feature hymns, readings, and poems paying respect to 'The Few'. The parade will return to Town Hall at around 12:30pm from St Mary's.
