Emilie Kiser apologises after her 16-month-old son was seen without a life jacket during a Mallorca boat trip
Emilie Kiser has apologised after facing criticism over footage showing her 16-month-old son, Teddy, without a life jacket during a family boat trip in Mallorca, Spain.
The lifestyle influencer addressed the backlash in a TikTok video posted on August 14, acknowledging that her younger son should have worn the safety equipment throughout the boat ride. The controversy gained particular attention because Kiser's 3-year-old son, Trigg, died in a drowning incident in May 2025.

'I know we made a mistake,' Kiser said, adding that she understood why viewers were concerned. She explained that Teddy had become fussy during the boat trip, and she and her husband, Brady Kiser, decided to remove his life jacket briefly to calm him.
Kiser said they now recognise that the decision was a mistake and stressed that there was 'no reason ever' for a child to be without a life jacket on a boat.
The footage came from a July family trip to Mallorca with fellow influencer Madi Curtis. Curtis previously shared a compilation from the trip in which Teddy was seen without the safety equipment.
Kiser had previously addressed the issue through an Instagram Stories statement, saying Teddy had only been without the life jacket for a few moments but acknowledging that he should have worn it for the entire boat ride.
The latest controversy has also renewed public discussion about Trigg's death. Authorities found the child unconscious after he entered a swimming pool at the family's Chandler, Arizona, home. He died six days later.
Prosecutors ultimately declined to file criminal charges, saying there was no reasonable likelihood of conviction.
Kiser has continued speaking publicly about water safety and recently announced that she and Brady are expecting another child.
