In South Korea, a woman was fined $4,500 for intrusive text messages to actor Hwang Jung Min. This is reported by the Yonhap news agency with reference to the court decision.
According to the agency, a woman in her late 40s wrote to actor Hwang Jong-min, who filed a harassment complaint with the court last August.
"Given the number and frequency of the messages, it is recognized that they were sufficient to cause the victim anxiety or fear," the court explained.
In addition, the woman was sentenced to undergo a 40-hour harassment prevention program under the "Law on the Punishment of Harassment." Later, the woman posted phone records and correspondence with the actor on social media to prove that they were in a personal relationship.
Russian TV presenter and blogger Victoria Bonya said on August 20 that she had been the victim of repeated harassment by an unknown man who shouted and climbed over the fence into Bonya's house in Monaco.
Last October, a fan dressed as the superhero Spider-Man entered the window of singer Dora. Thus, the man decided to leave a message on the singer's window. Dora's admirer, 35-year-old Ruslan G., had been "courting" the singer in a peculiar way for a long time.
