Vogue Williams left struggling to walk as husband Spencer steps in to help

Irish presenter Vogue Williams has told podcast listeners about a painful injury she suffered before giving birth to her fourth child. The 40-year-old and her husband, Spencer Matthews, welcomed their son, Remy Valentine Matthews, into the world last week, and Vogue has since been sharing updates with fans. Days before she was due to give birth, Vogue told her sister Amber about a painful injury she was experiencing that had left her struggling to walk. She began by explaining that she developed sudden pain around her vaginal area while putting on a pair of trousers. She explained that she initially managed to get on with her day, but things escalated quickly when she went out to collect her daughter, Gigi. However, things took a turn when she tried to get back into the house. She shared: "I was still fine at walking, it was just a bit painful and then when I got out of the car, I was like 'Oh holy s**t I can't walk, I don't know what to do'. "I couldn't walk at all, so I had to ring Spen, he had to take me in." She went on to say that she didn't know how she was going to get down the stairs once recording for the latest podcast episode had finished. "I think I'm going to go to hospital after this pod, I can't walk, I swear to God I don't know what I've done," she continued. "I cannot walk, I don't know what's happened I am f****d," before adding that she believed she may have hurt her groin. During the episode, she also jokingly lamented the lack of rest she was getting in the lead-up to giving birth. She joked to her co-stars: "We're recording because how dare I expect any maternity leave from anyone. "Everyone's like, 'Oh you're going back to work', yeah I don't have any choice do I! [I've got] these two absolute monsters sitting across from me." Amber went on to say that Vogue would soon be able to take a break from her work commitments, although it is unlikely the host will have much time to rest in her bustling household. The presenter and Spencer are now parents to four children, who also include Theodore, seven, and Otto, three. Announcing the birth of her latest baby this week, Vogue shared several adorable snaps from the hospital, as well as photos from when she brought him home. Alongside the pictures, she wrote: "Our beautiful baby boy has arrived safely… The house is bursting with excitement, love and happiness and we couldn't be more delighted." Despite her husband previously suggesting that the pair could have a fifth baby, Vogue has insisted that their family is complete. He told Closer Magazine: "I like the sound of baby number five. Vogue's Irish, you see. It won't be too long before she wants a fifth, I'm sure of it. I can't wait!".
