Two booked for setting Ganesh pandal afire

Vadodara: Karelibaug police have booked two men for allegedly setting a Ganesh pandal on fire in the Khatri Pol area on Saturday. The FIR was filed on the complaint of Pushpak Panchal, president of Khatri Pol Sanskrutik Seva Mandal, against Bharat Chauhan and Rinku Chauhan. According to police, Bharat was allegedly seen smoking a beedi near the pandal, while a local resident reportedly saw him using matchsticks in the area. When Panchal confronted him, Bharat and Rinku allegedly abused him and denied involvement in the fire. Police booked the duo for mischief and negligent conduct that resulted in the fire. No injuries were reported in the incident, police said.
