ED Al-Aleem Medical College Passes Away

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Sep, 2026) Executive Director of Al-Aleem Medical College and Additional Medical Superintendent (AMS) of Gulab Devi Teaching Hospital,Dr.Abid Ali Hashmi passed away,here on Saturday. The funeral prayer of the deceased was offered at the Gulab Devi Teaching Hospital Stadium,which was attended by doctors, officers and staff of the hospital and Al-Aleem Medical College,besides relatives,colleagues and friends of the deceased. Vice Principal(VP) Professor,Dr.Imran Hanif,Project Director Dr.Irfan Malik,Dr.Abdul Rehman,Professor Zaheer Akhtar,Dr.Majid Kaleem,Dr.Saqib Musharraf,Dr.Ahsan Hafeez,Ijaz Hussain and Asadullah Shah were among those who attended the funeral prayer. Doctors and staff of Gulab Devi Teaching Hospital and Al-Aleem Medical College,including Farhan Ahmed,Khalid Ali,Muhammad Mahboob,Muhammad Tahir and Muhammad Naveed also attended. The participants expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of Dr.Abid Ali Hashmi and prayed for the elevation of his ranks in the hereafter and for patience and fortitude for the bereaved family.
