Delta launches direct Austin-to-Paris flights in major Texas expansion Delta Air Lines has officially announced its first-ever nonstop service connecting Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) to Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CGD). Beginning March 27, 2027, the daily summer seasonal route will make Delta the sole U.S. carrier offering direct flights from the Texas capital to Europe. Expanding Texas travelers' reach The flight will give Central Texas travelers convenient direct access to France, a nation frequently recognized for its iconic luxury and lifestyle. Beyond Paris, passengers can seamlessly connect to nearly 70 destinations across Europe, Africa and India through Delta's joint-venture partnership with Air France-KLM. Executive statements on growth Airline leadership highlighted the importance of expanding in Central Texas. Joe Esposito, Delta's Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, stated: Delta launches direct flights from Austin to Paris 'Austin's growth continues to create new opportunities for customers and Delta is proud to grow alongside it.' He further noted that 'launching Austin's first nonstop service to Paris is a defining milestone but it's just one part of our broader investment in the region.' Premium aircraft and amenities Travelers on this route will fly aboard the modern Airbus A330-900neo aircraft. The plane features 281 seats divided into four distinct cabin options including lie-flat business class suites in Delta One, premium economy seating in Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort and standard Main Cabin options. Broader route expansions Alongside the Paris route, Delta is boosting domestic and seasonal routes out of Austin. Starting April 12, 2027, the airline will introduce daily nonstop flights to San Diego, double its daily flights to San Jose and expand its Cancun route to year-round service. By summer 2027, Delta expects to run over 70 peak-day departures serving roughly 30 destinations from Austin.
