Golf cart collision leaves five people injured in Walton County

WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – An accident involving a golf cart in Walton County left multiple people with serious injuries on Saturday. The incident occurred around 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 30A and Heron's Watch Way. An SUV was travelling south when the driver attempted to turn right at the intersection. At the time, the golf cart was approaching the intersection from the east. As the SUV driver made the turn, the vehicle struck the right side of the golf cart. Five people on the golf cart, ranging in age from 53 to 66, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. One passenger was life-flighted to HCA Fort Walton, and the others were transported to Ascension Sacred Heart in Panama City. The driver and passenger in the SUV were unharmed.
