Wakefield Trinity have signed Leeds Rhinos centre Ned McCormack on a three-year contract. The 21-year-old, who had loan spells at Huddersfield Giants and Hunslet earlier this season, has been restricted to just six Rhinos appearances since making his debut in 2024. However, Wakefield's director of rugby Ste Mills said that with more exposure at Trinity, McCormack would blossom. "Ned is a great coup for Wakefield Trinity and someone we believe will add a real edge to our backline, while also providing valuable cover across a number of positions," Mills told the club website , external . "He is a very mature young man, both on and off the field, and we believe he has all the attributes to flourish within our environment. "We're confident that, given the right opportunities to play first-grade rugby league, he can really develop and fulfil his potential." McCormack is a dual-code player having also represented England under-18s at rugby union.
