Banks Urged to Channel CSR Funds Toward Health, Education, Public Welfare in Kech: DC

Independent Report TURBAT , Sept 7: Deputy Commissioner Kech Yasir Iqbal Dashti has called on banks operating in the district to utilize their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds for healthcare, education, public welfare and essential civic facilities to provide meaningful benefits to local communities. He made the remarks while chairing a meeting of bank managers, where proposals for using CSR resources on priority development and public welfare projects in Kech were discussed. The meeting reviewed possible financial support for installing 300 streetlights in Turbat and other important locations, repairing and rehabilitating ambulances, improving essential facilities at Civil Hospital and supporting education and streetlighting initiatives in Turbat Bazaar. Dashti emphasized that available resources and cooperation between public institutions and financial organizations should be directed toward projects capable of delivering practical and sustainable benefits to citizens, particularly in the health, education and civic sectors. He urged banks to strengthen their contribution to local development by making effective use of their CSR programs and supporting initiatives that address the community's priority needs. Representatives of Bank Islami, Bank Makramah Limited, Bank Alfalah, Allied Bank and Habib Bank attended the meeting and expressed their willingness to cooperate with the district administration on public welfare initiatives. The Deputy Commissioner also took notice of the absence of some bank managers from the meeting and directed the concerned authorities to take action in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.
