15-year-old boy drowns while bathing in Mardan canal

PESHAWAR - A 15-year-old boy drowned while bathing in a canal in the Hathian Jharo area of Mardan on Sunday, Rescue 1122 officials said. According to Rescue 1122, the boy, identified as Zakariya, son of Obaidullah, drowned while bathing in the canal. Rescue personnel retrieved his body from the water after a brief search operation. The rescuers administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid to the victim at the scene before shifting him to a nearby rural health centre (RHC) for further medical assistance.
