Ryburn 3 Step Folk Club's new season is set to begin with Jim and Lynette Eldon

The first guests on Sunday, September 13 are Jim and Lynette Eldon. There will be east coast songs and tunes from Jim, the 'Brid Fiddler' which he'd learned from the older singers and musicians and used to entertain passengers on the Bridlington Ferry. Encouraged to sing the old songs by Mike Waterson, Jim collected a unique repertoire of songs and dance tunes and an entertaining stage presence. His accompaniments on fiddle owe more to The Clash than Vivaldi. Lynette was inspired to learn clog dancing after seeing Maddy Prior (Steeleye Span) dance in the early seventies. Support will come from Pete Coe, John Bromley, Damien Barber, Chris Manners, Johnny Adams and The Singers from the Shop.
