Kohistan Case! NAB Approves Rs. 409.6 Million Settlement Request

The Chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has approved a Rs. 409.6 million plea bargain request from another accused in the ongoing Kohistan mega financial scandal. According to NAB sources, the accused, Hareeq Ahmad, reportedly served as an operations manager at a private bank in Dasu. Investigators allege that transactions exceeding Rs. 400 million linked to the case were carried out through an account associated with him. The approved plea bargain is expected to be presented before the relevant accountability court for further proceedings and approval. The wider investigation has resulted in the arrest of more than 40 suspects, while NAB has reportedly recovered over Rs. 30 billion in connection with the alleged Rs. 45 billion corruption scandal. The case remains subject to legal proceedings, with authorities continuing efforts to trace funds, establish responsibility, and recover allegedly misappropriated public money.
