City of Clintonville announces plan to move forward with new ambulance service

PC: Fox 11 Online CLINTONVILLE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The City of Clintonville is moving forward with a new, municipal ambulance service effective Jan 1, 2027. On Thursday, September 3rd, the Clintonville Common Council held a special meeting addressing the issue. During the meeting, a closed session was held where the council unanimously voted to proceed with establishing a municipal ambulance service. 'While we are disappointed that our efforts to renegotiate the current agreement were unfruitful, Clintonville will continue to work in partnership with our neighbors for emergency services.' Clintonville Mayor Jeannie Schley said in a statement. 'The dedicated first responders who serve our community will continue to do just that, regardless of the name on the ambulance or color of their uniform.' Clintonville Area Ambulance service serves Clintonville, the City of Marion, the Villages of Bear Creek and Embarrass, and the Townships of Bear Creek, Deer Creek, Dupont, Grant, Larrabee, Matteson, and Navarino.
