American singer/songwriter Miley Cyrus, known mononymously as Miley, has released her new single online.
'Bass Persuades' is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, Google Music and all other digital streaming platforms.
It was written by Miley alongside Kid Harpoon (Thomas Hull), Michael Pollack and Aldae (Gregory Hein), while production duties were handled by the latter three, with Maxx Morando serving as co-producer, Brian Rajaratnam and Liam Hebb as recording engineers, Kieran Scott as assistant recording engineer, Mark 'Spike' Stent as mixing engineer, and Randy Merrill as mastering engineer.
The 80s-inspired dance-pop anthem is about surrendering to music, letting go of digital distractions, and coming together on the dance floor. It represents how music takes physical hold of us, acting as an outlet for full hearts, heartaches, and everything in between.
As mentioned in earlier posts, Miley's tenth studio album of the same name will arrive on 18 September via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.
Her last full-length project, 'Beautiful Surprise,' was released on May 30, 2025, via Sony Music / Columbia Records and peaked at number four on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart. It was supported by the lead single, 'End of the World'; as well as the promotional singles with 'Prelude,' the title track, and 'More to Lose.' 'Easy Lover' was issued as a single weeks after the album's release.
