PESHAWAR, Sep 15 (APP):The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) recovered Rs 2.405 million in outstanding dues and fines and disconnected 28 illegal connections during an anti-power theft operation in different areas of Peshawar. According to a PESCO spokesperson, the company's Surveillance and Investigation Team inspected 480 suspicious connections during raids conducted in the city. The team detected electricity theft at 28 connections and disconnected their power supply, the spokesperson said. PESCO recovered Rs1.895 million against outstanding dues and Rs510,000 in fines during the operation. He said the company had directed its Surveillance and Investigation Team to further accelerate operations against power theft and take effective action against those involved.
