Sophie Rain's meteoric success may have given her financial freedom, but it has also made finding a genuine relationship considerably more complicated. During an appearance on Bill Maher's 'Club Random' podcast, the 21-year-old OF star opened up about her sheltered upbringing, limited dating history, and desire to find someone who sees beyond her provocative online persona. Rain admitted that she has never been in a serious relationship and was already inexperienced before becoming famous. Now that millions of people recognize her, she finds herself questioning whether a potential partner is interested in the person behind the content. Sophie Rain Says She Never Had A Relationship Growing Up While Rain has been candid about remaining a virgin, she explained that her limited romantic experience began long before she became one of the most successful creators on OF. 'I grew up with no friends,' Rain told Maher. 'I didn't have anyone growing up besides my two girlfriends that I'm still very close with today. Those were it.' The influencer said she did not participate in extracurricular activities, go out regularly, or have many of the experiences that typically allow teenagers to meet potential partners. 'I was just school, home, school, home,' she recalled. 'So, like, I never had a relationship with anyone.' Rain's quiet upbringing meant she entered adulthood without much dating experience. By the time her life began changing, her career quickly created an entirely new set of obstacles. 'I was serving for about four years at a mom-and-pop restaurant,' she explained. 'I was a waitress.' Rain did begin talking to one man she met during that chapter of her life, but the possible romance did not go anywhere. 'I started talking to a guy there,' she shared. 'Never worked out.' There was little time for her to experience a conventional dating life after that. Rain's online career exploded, transforming her from a relatively sheltered young woman into a recognizable internet personality with millions of followers. That success has made it far more difficult for her to determine whether someone is genuinely interested in her. Fame Has Made Dating 'Hard' For The OF Star Rain told Maher that she is open to finding love, but her public profile now follows her into every potential relationship. 'Now I'm here, and I'm just waiting for the right person,' she said. 'But now everyone knows me, and it's, like, weird.' Although Rain did not suggest she has completely given up on dating, she acknowledged that fame has complicated a process she was only beginning to explore. 'I'm trying to date, but it's hard,' she admitted. 'It's hard now. So I'm just waiting for the right person.' The challenge is especially personal for Rain because her career is built around providing subscribers with a sense of intimacy. Despite the image audiences may have formed through her OF content, her private romantic life has remained extremely limited. Rain previously explained during the podcast that she believes people frequently see one aspect of her online and decide that represents her entire identity. That perception could make it difficult to know whether a potential partner is connecting with her or the version of her he has seen on the internet. Sophie Rain Is Not Rushing To Lose Her Virginity Maher asked whether Rain was actively searching for someone with whom she could lose her virginity. She made it clear that ending that chapter of her life is not a goal she intends to pursue for its own sake. When Maher suggested she was allowing it to happen naturally, Rain agreed, saying, 'Exactly. Exactly.' She does not intend to wait forever, however. Rain revealed that she hopes to be married and building a future with the right person within the next few years. 'I would like to be, like, married to the person I wanna be with for the rest of my life, like, maybe in couple years,' she explained. 'I don't wanna wait too long. I wanna start getting my life started, I feel like.' She said she would like a partner who exercises and could encourage her to begin taking better care of her body. 'I want someone that can bring me to the gym,' she told Maher. 'I've never gone to the gym a day in my life, and I need to go.' Beyond fitness, Rain said humor, loyalty, and genuine affection are the qualities that matter most. 'Honestly, just someone that can make me laugh,' she shared. 'That's it. I just want laughter in my life, and also someone that just loves me unconditionally and obviously won't cheat.' Despite the complications created by her career, Rain appears unwilling to settle simply to reach a particular romantic milestone. She may want to begin the next phase of her life soon, but she is still prepared to wait for someone she believes is interested in more than the famous identity the internet created for her.
