Today was a nice break from the historic heat of last week! Lows of 54-61 occurred. The 61 at the Purdue Airport was the warmest in the area due to northeast wind blowing that urban heat island southwestward. This occurs more clear, more calm nights at the airport when the wind is light from the northeast.
Tomorrow will be warmer.
Patchy cirrus & cumulus occur rest of today with more cirrus tomorrow with those cumulus clouds.
Cold front passes Wednesday night. Some scattered showers & storms occur ahead of the front Wednesday late afternoon to Wednesday night. A lingering couple showers are possible early Thursday. Otherwise, Thursday is a nice, less humid day after a very warm to hot humid to muggy Wednesday.
There is a MARGINAL RISK for severe storms Wednesday late afternoon-night. Isolated severe gusts & isolated hail is possible.
Friday night football & Saturday Purdue football looks good, still. HOWEVER, if front does speed up, then some showers & storms would get in here earlier Saturday for the Purdue game with impacts. We will monitor & tweak forecast if needed.
