A Labor Day Note From Me to You

Today is Labor Day, and before the long weekend slips away, I wanted to send you a simple note. So many of the stories I write for JOGI begin with someone doing the work. It may be work they chose or simply the job that paid the bills. But somewhere along the way, they noticed a problem, tried something different, or came up with an idea that eventually traveled far beyond them. Years later, we tend to remember what the idea became while forgetting the person who first did the work that brought it to life. But behind those things was usually a person who kept showing up, figuring things out, and doing the work in front of them. That feels worth remembering on Labor Day. And it also makes me think of you. You've made JOGI such a wonderful place for me to tell these stories. You read them, share them, send me your own stories, and sometimes point me toward an idea I never would have found on my own. Thank you for being here. I hope today gives you a little time to enjoy the unofficial end of summer, spend time with people you love, and perhaps do absolutely nothing productive at all. Happy Labor Day.
