Rescue 1122 Saves Boy From Drowning In Mardan

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Sep, 2026) A Rescue 1122 official on Wednesday saved the life of a four-year-old boy who drowned in a canal at Shanur bridge in Takht Bhai tehsil of Mardan district. According to a Rescue 1122 spokesperson, the child, identified as Owais, son of Fuad, fell into the canal and drowned at Shanur Bridge. Rescue 1122 medical technician Bilal, who was passing through the area, immediately sprang into action and jumped into the canal to rescue the child. He pulled the boy out of the water and provided him with immediate first aid. Meanwhile, a Rescue 1122 Mardan medical team reached the scene after receiving the emergency call and shifted the child to the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital for further medical treatment. Doctors at the hospital said the child was out of danger. The parants appreciated timely action of the Rescue 1122 official.
