Kidpreneurs Fair expected to bring over 160 young entrepreneurs to Central Pa.

PHOTO/PROVIDED BY KIDPRENEURS Listen to this article The Fourth Annual Kidpreneurs Fair PA will bring over 160 young entrepreneurs to Messiah University in Mechanicsburg to sell their own products and build business skills. Entrepreneurs ages 5–16 will operate more than 100 booths and sell their own products on Sept. 19, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The fair will be held at Brubaker Auditorium in the Eisenhower Campus Center at Messiah University. The annual, one-day marketplace gives young entrepreneurs the opportunity to build, market, and sell their own products and services to the public. Ashruta Shettar and Pradeep Patil founded Kidpreneurs Fair PA in 2022 to give children hands-on opportunities to build financial literacy, confidence, and real-world business skills among the next generation of Central Pennsylvania entrepreneurs. 'Kidpreneurs Fair PA gives kids a real stage to test their ideas, talk to customers, and see their hard work pay off—often for the very first time,' Shettar, co-founder of Kidpreneurs Fair PA, said in a statement. 'Every year, I watch shy first-timers become confident young business owners by the end of the day. That transformation is exactly why we do this.' Since its founding, Kidpreneurs Fair PA has grown from 35 kid vendors to over 150 young business owners. According to a release, organizers expect more than 750 shoppers this year. Admission and parking are free, and no registration is required to shop. The fair is part of the national Acton Children's Business Fair network and is presented in partnership with the International Club of Central PA.
