Welcome back, football! The Action Network betting primer is here for another NFL season, and it's time to get into the action with 16 Week 1 games. Before we begin, the primer will have a new feel this year. The weekly article will always be housed here, at this link, and will update weekly below. Here is a preview of the tabs in the primer. You can find more information by tapping the question mark in the upper-left corner: Matchups — Every game, live lines, starting QBs, and the notes and systems attached to each one. Tap a game to open it up. Systems — Bet Labs systems firing this week, with the exact bet, the full record, and a season-by-season history. Tap one to see why it fires. Public — Where the bets are coming in on every spread, total, and moneyline, with some tools mixed in. Key #'s — Sixty seasons of final scores, filtered any way you like. Margins, totals, how a 3-point favorite actually lands. Weather — Kickoff forecasts for every outdoor game, ranked by wind, with a Chaos Rating for the games most likely to be decided by the elements. Records — Straight-up, against-the-spread, over/under, and other records for all 32 teams. Teams — A running file on every team. Easy, organized, with season-by-season archived futures. As always, if you have any questions, reach out to me on X at @EvanHAbrams; I'm always open to innovation and suggestions.
