- John Middlekauff- former NFL scout had a great analogy. Watching Mensah reminded him of when KC went from Alex Smith to Mahomes and that Malachi with him look like Mahomes and Tyreek. It's basically unfair. - Another comparison was Jameis Winston's college debut. As a reminder he was 25-of-27 for 356 yards and 4 passing touchdowns and FSU won the NC. We knew who Mensah was but in reality no one really spent anytime watching Duke so it was jarring to see how good he is. - Chris Fallica said that this Miami game reminded him of the 2001 Penn State statement opener. A team ****ed off about not making the BCS the year before was focused. Similar to this team. - I'm not as worried about the run game. I'm not an X's and O's guy but it seems that playoff teams play you more honestly while teams like SMU and Louisville stacked the box and we couldn't do anything about it in the passing game. Mensah is a complete game changer. - Thank god we're so loaded in the secondary and have good pass rushers because there are so many good WR's in CFB. - It's hard to envision us not going in the portal for a QB next year. There's no way you can go into Malachai's last year with what we currently have. - Bud Elliot had a good observation about ND. We know they are good everywhere but what are they great at. Certainly not anything on offense. I was never that worried about the November game because Mario is basically the anti-James Franklin. He might drop some easy ones but he's always big in the top 10 matchups. - I might be off but it looked like we had 9 freshmen playing at one time on offense. I'm counting Hawkes as a freshman and it looked like Luke and Meriweather and 9 freshman in the 4th. - The shocking think about Clemson was the tackling. #13 from LSU is not Derick Henry or Mark Fletcher yet he ran through arm tackles all game. Stanford showed more heart than Clemson. - Less than 50/50 Leavitt lasts a whole season running that way in the SEC. Similar to Mateer last year.
