SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - North Dakota State soccer's Morgan Russmann was named the Summit League Offensive Peak Performer of the Week, announced the league office on Tuesday. Russmann scored two goals and added two assists in NDSU's trip to California last week. She finished with a goal and an assist against Westmont on Thursday and then added another goal and an assist at UC Santa Barbara. The junior provided the primary assist on Hannah Arnold's goal to give the Bison the lead at Westmont. Just a few minutes later, Russmann provided a flick on and then sped past the defense to score a breakaway goal to cap the 2-0 victory. On Sunday, Russmann was a key part of NDSU rallying from a two-goal deficit to tie UC Santa Barbara 3-3. She tied the game at 2-2 with her fourth goal of the season and then made a long run through the Gauchos defense and set up Gabrielle Garrett with a pass into the center of the box for the final goal. This week's accolade is the first for the Bison and Russmann this season. Russmann has claimed three peak performers of the week honors in her career.
