Second wave of tickets for Katie Taylor Croke Park fight big-screen event in Wicklow to go on sale

A second wave of tickets will be released this Sunday for the Bray big-screen showing of Katie Taylor's farewell fight against Flora Pili at a sold-out Croke Park, with the first wave selling out earlier this week. Wicklow County Council says the phased release is designed to manage demand, ensure fair access and allow organisers to finalise operational plans ahead of the September 5 event, which will accommodate up to 1,500 people. The council is organising the fanzone in partnership with a dedicated event management team, which includes a safety officer, event controller, production manager, medical coordinator, chief steward, environmental and waste staff, and traffic management personnel. Staff will be present throughout the evening to guide attendees and oversee crowd flow on the seafront. The screening will take place at the Bray Seafront Bandstand, with check-in opening at 7pm and the main fight expected around 10pm, depending on the broadcast schedule. Admission is free, but all attendees, including children, need to obtain digital passes through Eventbrite. The council is encouraging people to walk or use public transport due to limited parking along the promenade, and is emphasising that the event is alcohol‑free and family‑focused. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. The council says the second release will consist of the remaining portion of the 1,500 person capacity, along with any tickets that become available through cancellations. Eventbrite's waitlist system will automatically reissue cancelled passes to the next person in line. After the main check‑in window closes at 8pm on fight night, any unused capacity will be opened to walk‑ins on a first‑come-first-served basis. Attendees are advised to arrive between 7pm and 8pm to guarantee entry. The council has not confirmed how many tickets are in the second wave, but says the phased ticket system is intended to give late registrants a fair chance to attend, while keeping the event manageable and safe. It also allows organisers to adjust staffing, queueing layouts and welfare facilities as the event approaches. The second wave will open at midnight on the morning of Sunday, August 30 and remain available until the day of the screening on Saturday, September 5, subject to demand.
