TikTok is a great place for "u kno what." Not like that — Iowa's senior U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley has just made a new account on the platform. The 92-year-old senator has long used social media to connect with constituents. Last year, he celebrated reaching 1 million followers on X (formerly Twitter), which he first joined in 2007. His first post? An ode to his almost 50-year-old vacuum, Beth, who was recently taken out of commission. And of course, Grassley also paid homage to an infamous Dairy Queen tweet from 2014, in which he called the Windsor Heights location a "good place for u kno what." The senator is known for being a fan of ice cream and has made subsequent jokes about it over the years. Grassley previously expressed concerns about TikTok's connection to the Chinese Communist Party before legislation passed requiring the company to sell its U.S. business. He also said in 2025 that his government-issued phone was prohibited from accessing TikTok. That ban was lifted in January after U.S. operations were sold to a joint venture that includes Oracle, a technology company founded by billionaire and Donald Trump ally Larry Ellison.
