No. 6 Louisville came away with a 3-0 sweep of No. 9 Texas at the Broadway Block Party on Sunday afternoon. With the win, Louisville improves to 5-1 on the season, with four ranked victories. Women's Soccer Extends Winning Streak Louisville women's soccer continued its hot streak this weekend with a win over Mercyhurst for its sixth straight win. The Cardinals took home a 3-1 victory on Sunday afternoon at Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium. Louisville (5-1) scored first off a cross from Karina Peat, intended for Amelia Swinarski, which was deflected by a Mercyhurst player into their own goal in the 22nd minute. Less than a minute later, McKalie Ball scored her first career goal off an assist by Abby Cox to put Louisville up 2-0. Nicole Jodoin continues her strong sophomore season with her second goal of the year off an assist from Peat in the 52nd minute. Mercyhurst scored its only goal of the night in the 67th minute, but Louisville came away with a 3-1 victory. Louisville starts ACC play against Pitt on Saturday, Sept. 12 at Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium. The game is set for 6 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra. Field Hockey Remains Unbeaten No. 15 Louisville field hockey remained undefeated with a 4-0 road victory over Michigan State on Sunday. The Cardinals improved to 4-0 on the season, the program's best start since the 2023 season. "Very pleased with the result and, more importantly, a number of pieces we had identified this weekend we needed to make progress on," Louisville head coach Justine Sowry said. "It was a balanced weekend with everyone gaining valuable experience and contributing to our success." Louisville had four different scorers on Sunday, with goals from Chloe Plumb, Lauren Masters, Tyler Everslage and Annabel Sep.
