Jennifer Aniston's Boyfriend Jim Curtis Makes Rare Comment About His Son: ‘So Proud of Him'

Jennifer Aniston's boyfriend, Jim Curtis, is sharing a rare glimpse into his role as a father. 'I'm so proud of my son, Aidan,' Curtis, 50, shared on the Tuesday, September 8, episode of 'The Jamie Kern Lima Show' podcast. 'He's away at college in his freshman year. He's got his own job. He bought himself a car, and I'm so proud of him. He's an amazing kid.' Curtis welcomed Aidan during his previous marriage to ex-wife Rachel Napolitano, whom he wed back in 2003. The wellness pioneer and author later met Aniston, 57, and were first spotted together during the 4th of July weekend in 2025. 'They are allowing the relationship to develop at its own pace and are much stronger, more positive and more confident that their lifestyles and priorities […] During his rare podcast interview, Curtis was asked by host Jamie Kern Lima to describe how his identity has shifted from the moment he became a dad to who he is today. 'My identity now, I think, shows confidence, shows self-acceptance, shows self-love,' he explained. 'I think 20 years ago, I think I was also very loving, but I had less confidence in myself. And I had less self-acceptance. And I was trying to kind of ignore this body.' In his new book, The Book of Possibility, Curtis opened up about a spinal cord diagnosis in his 20s that caused chronic nerve damage and partial paralysis. Curtis admitted that he would once try his best to avoid talking about his health concerns. 'People would be like, 'What happened?' And I'd say, I didn't wanna talk about it,' he shared. 'Instead, I tried to fabricate the story that would have the least amount of questions. 'What happened?' Motorcycle accident. No more questions after a motorcycle accident. Someone's gonna ask, 'How fast are you going?' There are no more questions. When you say, 'Oh, unknown illness.'… It leads to more.' Curtis continued, 'I think I've grown in terms of my ability to make an impact on my family and the world. I was supportive and loving and caring, and also, I think I had a lot to learn.' 'Mallorca is special because it was one of the first places they traveled together and where they were […] Although Curtis said his son has not read his book just yet, he hopes all readers will receive a greater understanding of his life than beyond the headlines he has made with his latest relationship. 'I've been pretty public for a long time, but never this level,' he shared about dating Aniston. 'I've never been in the Hollywood kind of trades, the press… no one's really cared who I've dated in the past. So that was an adjustment for me.' Curtis added, 'Don't Google yourself again, Jim, to see what the news is saying today. And that took like, you know, three or four months.'
