Frankie Kazarian Shares Memories of ‘The Butcher' Andy Williams

Wrestler Andy Williams, aka The Butcher, tragically passed away over the weekend. The wrestler collapsed ringside while working Enjoy Wrestling's Fifth Anniversary show, and he passed away after being taken to the hospital. His friend and former AEW colleague, Frankie Kazarian, recently spoke about Williams and their friendship on Busted Open Radio. Kazarian said of his friendship with Williams, 'We immediately clicked because of our love of Metallica. That was my in, and we were buds based on that.' Speaking about Andy Williams' talents as a wrestler and performer, Kazarian continued, 'Very self-aware. Knew his strengths, knew his weaknesses. Very selfless, as he was in life. He was like that as a wrestler. Genuinely enjoyed the craft of pro wrestling and being a bad guy and a villain and knew his lane and was very good. He was limited with what he could do, but what he could do, he could do well.' Williams worked in AEW as The Butcher, as part of the tag team The Butcher and The Blade, from 2019 up until earlier this year. In addition to his wrestling career, Williams was also a guitarist and musician. He was a founding member of the band Every Time I Die, which began in 1998. The band released nine albums before breaking up in January 2022.
