Wolves sign Bertrand Traore on one-year deal

Wolves have strengthened their squad with the signing of winger Bertrand Traore on a one-year deal, the club confirmed on Monday. The Burkina Faso international joins after leaving Sunderland earlier this year. Traore, 31, made 12 Premier League appearances for Sunderland last season as the club returned to the top flight and secured European football. He can operate across the front line, giving head coach Cesar Peixoto another attacking option. Peixoto said Traore has the qualities he wanted in a winger, including strength in one-on-one situations, pace and a left foot capable of creating goals. He also noted that the forward will need time to regain fitness after training alone. Traore has 91 caps for Burkina Faso and has played for Chelsea, Lyon, Aston Villa, Villarreal and Ajax during a career spanning several major European leagues. Wanna get latest Premier League news?
