DDMA Kiphire conducts verification of landslide-affected site

(DIPR Kiphire) Kiphire, September 8 (MExN): The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Kiphire, conducted a spot verification at a house in Medical Ward, Kiphire, which was reported to be on the verge of collapse, on September 7. Berela T, District Project Associate (DPA), DDMA Kiphire, conducted the verification following the report. As a precautionary measure, the affected family has been relocated to a safer location. The house was assessed to pose a significant hazard to nearby houses and residents. As per the State DIPR, the DDMA recommended that the structure be dismantled at the earliest to prevent any untoward incident and minimise further risk to surrounding properties.
