The club chief stated he was blocked from completing a transfer exit for the winger by club owners Clara Vista Investment Partners. According to Stirpe, the US firm "stubbornly made him [Ghedjemis] stay" at the Serie A club in the summer transfer window. Both Celtic and Rangers were heavily linked with transfer interest in the player, with reports that both Glasgow clubs had bids rejected. Ghedjemis reportedly refused to play for Frosinone at the start of the season as he looked to force a transfer move away, with interest from Monaco. However, he returned to action for the Italian club during the 3-2 win over Venezia at the weekend. As quoted by the Daily Record, he said: "If it were up to me, I would have sold him. "He stayed because Clara Vista stubbornly made him stay. "It's a relationship that needs to be rebuilt on more solid foundations. "We can't afford what happened in recent weeks. It's unpleasant for someone to refuse to play. Clara Vista is unprejudiced in this regard. "In the coming weeks, we'd like to return to the team a player who has recovered from an abandonment syndrome at Frosinone that ultimately didn't materialise."
