Three Critically Injured As Truck Hits Minibus

KHANEWAL, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Sep, 2026) Three passengers sustained critical injuries and several others received minor wounds when a speeding truck collided with a minibus near Rajput Railway Station here on Sunday. According to Rescue 1122, the accident took place when the truck driver attempted to overtake the minibus on a narrow road. The severe impact damaged the side of the passenger vehicle, shattering its windowpanes and mirrors. Consequently, passengers seated along the affected side fell and sustained severe head and body injuries. The critically injured victims were identified as Iman, 42, son of Khurshid Ahmad; Abdul Majid, 39; and Abdul Ghafoor, 46, son of Hussain Bakhsh. Rescue team provided immediate first aid before shifting the injured to a nearby medical facility. The police were informed of the incident and have initiated an investigation, while the truck driver managed to flee the scene. Preliminary reports indicate that reckless driving and over-speeding on the narrow road were the Primary causes of the collision.
