Film about St Francis attracts capacity Mullingar attendance

The celebrated 1972 film 'Brother Sun Sister Moon' about the life of St Francis of Assisi which was shown on Sunday afternoon last, 6 September, in the IMC Cinema (Screen 5), Delvin Road, Mullingar, to mark the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis, attracted a capacity attendance. There was free admission, and all seats were taken when the showing began at 3pm. The film directed by Franco Zeffirelli was nominated for both Academy and Bafta Awards, for production and costume design.
