Oasis recordings, including concerts and rehearsals, to be sold at auction despite band concerns

Littleton Auctions has set a starting price of between £1.2m and £1.6m, which is around £1.5m to £2.7m. CEO Ben Homer said in a statement to The Guardian that the band had expressed concerns about the sale, which was 'entirely understandable given the scale and importance of the material'. The auction is expected to take place on October 3. The material was collected by sound engineer Huw Richards, who worked with Oasis from 1994, when their debut album "Definitely Maybe" was released, to 2001. The recordings are being sold by Richards' son. Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher reunited Oasis last year.
