県は７日、２００６年の日米安全保障協議委員会（２プラス２）で合意された、米軍普天間飛行場を含む嘉手納以南の基地返還後の一体的な跡地利用を進める協議会を那覇市で開いた。 返還跡地となる６市町村の関係者が参加。
