Pakistan rejects India's statement over Narowal temple damage

Pakistan's Foreign Office has categorically rejected India's statement regarding a temple in Ada Siraj, Narowal, saying the place of worship was damaged by torrential rains on July 21, 2026. Foreign Office spokesperson Sajjad Haider Khan said the Indian Ministry of External Affairs had issued a false statement to serve political interests. He said the local administration had already conducted a survey of the affected site and rehabilitation measures had been initiated. The spokesperson accused India of distorting facts and said such attempts could not divert attention from what Pakistan described as India's record of exploitation of minorities and attacks on their places of worship. Seven more electric buses announced for Sargodha Sajjad Haider Khan also called on the international community to hold the Indian leadership accountable for what he described as the persecution of Muslim, Sikh and Christian communities in India.
