A Yorkshire man has been arrested on suspicion of assault after the Brighton vs Leeds Premier League match.
The 54-year-old man from Wakefield was arrested after a report of an assault in the coach park outside The Amex Stadium shortly after the match ended, with a 1-1 draw, at around 5.30pm on Saturday, September 5. The victim was assessed by the ground's medical team.
A Sussex Police spokesperson said: "Police attended a report of an assault in the coach park at the American Express Stadium, Brighton, at around 5.30pm on Saturday, September 5, following a match between Brighton and Leeds. The victim was assessed by the medical team at the ground.
"A 54-year-old man from Wakefield was arrested on suspicion of assault and has since been released on bail while enquiries continue. Anyone with information relating to the incident is asked to contact Sussex Police online or by calling 101, quoting crime reference 47260208951."
